Joint Technology Solution, Inc is looking for a skilled Personal Financial Management Counselor to be a key resource for military families, providing expert guidance and support in all areas of personal finance. This role involves helping clients understand and manage their finances effectively, from basic budgeting to complex financial planning. The counselor will educate and advise on a wide range of financial topics, including savings strategies, debt management, investment planning, and navigating military benefits. This position requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of financial principles, and the ability to tailor advice to individual circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct individualized financial counseling sessions to assess client needs and develop personalized financial plans.

· Educate clients on financial management topics, including budgeting, saving, investing, and debt reduction.

· Design and lead financial education workshops and seminars, adapting content to diverse audiences.

· Collaborate with other service providers to develop integrated support plans for clients facing financial difficulties.

· Regularly review and update client financial plans, tracking progress towards financial goals.

· Provide guidance on navigating military-specific financial issues, such as relocation expenses and benefits.

· Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and military benefits that may impact clients.

· Advocate for clients and assist in negotiations with creditors or financial institutions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
  • 30 Continuing Education Units (CEU) bi-annually.
  • National Certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and tools.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in financial counseling, preferably in a military context.
