Upholstery Technician / Training On-Site

We are currently seeking an Upholstery Technician to join our team in North Lima, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for upholstery craftsmanship, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering superior quality workmanship. Experience is preferred, but not required! We do offer training on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Perform upholstery repairs, restorations, and customizations on a variety of furniture pieces, including sofas, chairs, ottomans, and more
• Remove old fabric, padding, and springs, and replace with new materials using appropriate tools and techniques
• Repair or replace damaged frames, springs, and cushions to restore furniture to its original condition
• Ensure quality control by inspecting completed work for accuracy, durability, and overall appearance
• Collaborate with customers and sales associates to understand their upholstery needs and preferences
• Provide estimates for upholstery services and communicate pricing and timeline expectations to customers
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tools, equipment, and materials
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, techniques, and materials related to upholstery craftsmanship

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in upholstery repair and restoration preferred but not required
• Some knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
