Job Description
MUST LOVE DOGS AND CATS!!! We are seeking 20+ animal lovers for a large Mega Adoption event in Delaware. These events are a lot of work but very rewarding! This event is on the weekend and set up begins the week before. This is a temporary assignment and you will need your own transportation to get there.
We receive animals from various Rescues and Shelters for this event. The last event we held we found fur-ever homes for over 1500 animals. We are hoping to make this one just as successful and with all the helping hands we can find, it will be.
We are looking for help to set the cages and crates up in the venue and getting the venue set up for the adoption event, you will help to remove the dogs from the transports and get them into their place. Once the animals have been safely placed in their crates, we begin the walk/feed rotation. When you arrive in the mornings, we go straight to an aisle and start removing the dog for a walk, clean the crate and feeding. The walks are done all day long - there is a lot of dogs. The best part is when we get to start removing the crates - because the furbabies have been adopted out. This process is done each day of the Mega Event.
We will need to keep an eye out to make sure that the crates are kept clean of spilled food, water and accidents.
Minimum Qualifications: MUST LOVE DOGS AND CAN'T BE ALLERGIC TO CATS OR DOGS
Physical Effort: This event will require you to be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shifts, minus break periods. You will need to bend, reach and grasp. The dogs are all different breeds and sizes and some could weigh up to 150lbs. You should be able to work and handle a loud and very hectic environment.
This event is indoors and will be held rain or shine! Please call with any questions - this is a great event and we always have a lot of fun!
