Job Description

We are looking for a Cash Posting Specialist responsible for ensuring that customer payments (regular, default, and bankruptcy) and payoffs are posted accurately and timely.
**The role is an onsite position, 40+ hours weekly and subject to a credit review**
Your specific duties will include:
- Processing standard mortgage loan payments
- Processing mortgage payoffs per standard procedures
- Processing non-standard payments, such as bankruptcy payments, vendor payments (Mortgage Insurance, Homeowners Insurance, Taxing authorities, etc.) reversal sales, etc.
- Researching exception items that do not reconcile
- Processing reversal transactions
- Processing and monitoring the disbursement of suspense funds, ensuring funds are processed within servicing guidelines.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associates preferred
- 3-5 years of cash posting/handling experience is required in a mortgage or commercial bank
- Must have the ability to prioritize meeting deadlines and communicate effectively
- Ten keys by touch are also required
