Medical Lab Scientist/Tech/Surgical Tech

Medical Lab Scientist/Technician/Surgical Technologist; DH; Jackson, WY

Our client, a large hospital network in Jackson, WY, is seeking several different medical technicians and scientists for their laboratories and clinics. All positions are eligible for a $10k sign-on bonus, $2k relocation stipend, and $1,350/mo. temporary (6 mo.) housing stipend.

They have a need for:

• Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS)
• Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT)
• Surgical Technologist (ST)

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for conducting tests on patient samples using biomedical instrumentation, microscopes, and computers.

The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform a variety of laboratory procedures under the supervision of a clinical laboratory scientist/medical technologist.

Both MLSs and MLTs will:

• Provide data to physicians and other healthcare providers to diagnose and treat diseases.
• Provide the testing in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner in accordance with state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
• Operate and maintains lab equipment
• 10 hr shifts days/weekends/holidays

The Surgical Technologist prepares for and assists the surgeon with operative procedures.

• Assists the RN in carrying out physicians' orders accurately and efficiently
• Provides a concise report when "handing off" a patient
• Knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques, instrumentation and human anatomy.
• 12 hr shifts days, holidays, on-call

Requirements and Experience for MLT and MLS:

• MLT: Medical Laboratory Technician Associate of Applied Science degree from an accredited degree program required
• MLS: Certification of MLS (ASCP) or AMT Medical Technologist required
• 2 or more years as a MLT/MLS or similar role preferred

Requirements and Experience for ST:

• BLS Certification required
• 1 year experience as a surgical tech required
• 2 years' experience as a scrub tech preferred
• Graduate from a Surgical Technology program with certificate preferred
