OPEN POSITION:

Position: Coding Specialist

Department: HIM

Location: Cass City, MI

Hours: Full Time. Days. No Holidays or Weekends. Full Benefits.

Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Coding Specialist within our HIM department. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patient.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Education or Equivalent
Completion of coding certification program
-AHIMA American Health Information Management Association.
-AAPC: The American Academy of Professional Coders
Certification obtained within 18 months of hire (list not all inclusive):
Knowledge and experience in coding inpatient and outpatient accounts
Knowledge of revenue cycle workflow and denial support
Computer and technology skills. Experience with EPIC software preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary purpose is to perform assigned coding, data retrieval and administrative duties in an efficient, accurate manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a complete medical record program is maintained.
