Overview:
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team onsite at the client facility in Johnston, IA. The role involves modernizing a series of mainframe solutions, with a focus on design, technical leadership, and adherence to project roadmap. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, and AWS services, along with a strong background in Agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the modernization efforts of mainframe solutions, ensuring alignment with project roadmap and technical requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, addressing technical roadblocks and challenges.
- Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and promote pair programming within the team.
- Utilize Typescript for both implementation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years of experience in Javascript, especially Typescript.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud development.
- 4+ years of experience working in an Agile Environment.
- 2+ years of experience with Node.js.
- Proven experience mentoring junior software engineers.
- Proficiency in Test Driven Development across multiple platforms.
- Familiarity with Paired Programming.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Information, or Software Engineering.
Nice-to-Have:
