A division of 3D Corporate Solutions, our SC Pet Solutions, LLC plant is located in Ward, SC. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong a strong industrial mechanical background with the below qualifications. The schedule will be working either day shift (6am-6pm) or night shift 6pm-6am as follows: DAY- Mon-Wed, every other Sun | NIGHT - Sun-Tues every other Sat | DAY - Thur-Sat every other Sun | NIGHT - Wed-Fri every other Sat

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Views their role in Maintenance as a Service Provider.
  • Repairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Operates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, and adjustments can be tested when complete.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment.
  • Performs Welding and Fabrication Repairs.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings promptly.
  • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
  • Monitors Air Compressor and Boiler Performance.
  • Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical controls i.e VFD, Soft Starter and Motor Starter.
  • Standard mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
  • Experience rebuilding pumps, gearbox, fans
  • Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience in Tig and Stick Welding.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
  • Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Walk / stand 100% of time during a 12–hour shift.
  • Constant bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout shift.
  • Frequent reaching overhead during shift.
  • Constant pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
  • Operation of SkyJack, Forklift, Boom Lift and Scissor Lift.
  • Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
  • Required participation in a daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Work in an environment directly affected by weather outside.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of industrial experience or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational school training relating to electrical/mechanics is preferred.
