Salary:

We're seeking a skilled Chief of Staff to support the COO and CEO with advancing key strategic initiatives, serve as a proxy in key meetings, and support the growth of the business.


Key Responsibilities:


Position Overview:  

The Chief of Staff will play a significant role in supporting the COO and CEO by helping to shape and execute strategic initiatives which will contribute to the overall success of the organization. The candidate must be mission driven to make the internet safer for people like the elderly and under-age children.  This role reflects the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities, maintain confidentiality, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for serving as strategic advisor and counsel to leaders; assuming day-to-day responsibility for projects and tasks; and creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership success.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Role will report to the COO.
  • Work closely with the COO and CEO to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives. 
  • Assist COO and CEO in setting organizational goals and priorities.  
  • Act as a liaison between the COO and CEO and other members of the organization to help the COO or CEO scale. 
  • Facilitate communication and information flow within the organization.  
  • Provide analytical support for decision-making by gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and offering insights. 
  • Offer strategic advice to the COO, CEO and members of the leadership team based on a comprehensive understanding of the organization.  
  • Plan and organize executive meetings, including setting agendas, preparing materials, and ensuring follow-up on action items. 
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within leadership teams. 
  • Oversee and manage special projects as assigned by the COO and CEO. 
  • Ensure that projects align with organizational objectives and are on track for successful completion. 
  • Address and resolve issues on behalf of the COO and CEO, anticipating challenges and proposing solutions. 
  • Act as a troubleshooter for organizational challenges. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members that are consistent with the COO and CEO point of views. 
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment. 
  • Represent the COO and CEO in meetings or events when necessary. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders on behalf of the COO and CEO. 
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality. 
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes, communication, and overall organizational efficiency. 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of organizational policies. 


Qualifications and Requirements:
This position will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity that requires a diverse set of skills and experience. While we understand that no single candidate can possess every qualification listed below, the following are priority areas:  

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in leadership roles, strategic planning, and/or project management. 
  • Ability and flexibility to travel approximately 10-20% of the time  
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments 
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form 
  • Previous experience working closely with senior executives 
  • Ability to think critically and provide valuable insights to support decision-making. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. 
  • The ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. 
  • Skill in crafting and delivering presentations and briefings. 
  • Strong leadership qualities to provide guidance to teams and foster a positive and collaborative working environment. 
  • Analytical mindset to gather, analyze, and interpret data for decision-making. 
  • Proven project management skills to oversee and manage initiatives from conception to completion. 
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on achieving goals within specified timelines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to represent the executive effectively in various settings. 
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate a dynamic work environment. 
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage the executive's schedule. 
  • Awareness of organizational dynamics and the ability to navigate political nuances.
