Description:

Summary/Objective: Effectively Set-Up & Operate CNC mills while safely following quality requirement and production standards. Primarily Fanuc controllers (1 Mazak EIA)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform Set Ups and operation of CNC Mills
• Read and follow job router, set-up sheet and work instructions
• Correctly load and unload materials and parts into fixtures, vices, and chucks.
• Measure and document as required inspection data to assure part compliance
• Read and interpret blueprint dimensions, symbols, and notes
• Document counts
• Organize, clean, and maintain work area
• Communicate with Engineering on issues, needs, and improvements

Competencies:

• 3 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills (5-Axis preferred)
• Detailed Attention
• Knowledge of machine and controller functions
• Knowledge of machine tolerances
• Knowledge of GD&T and applications
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Mathematical and geometrical knowledge
• Good communicator, ability to listen, ask questions, and provide solutions
• Ability to work extra hours when needed
• Self-Motivated
• Positive attitude
• Strong Work Ethic
• Familiarity with AS9100 Standards
• High school diploma / GED

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand for long periods of time, walk and reach. The ability to lift products and supplies, up to 40 pounds. May be subject to cutting fluids, lubricants, metal chips and moderate noises.
