Full Time, Hybrid one day in office
We are currently seeking a versatile and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our client providing liability insurance to municipal agencies in Northern California! This role requires a multi-talented individual who can effectively manage a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a wide skill set, including experience in managing service contracts, familiarity with government processes, administrative capabilities, and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage service contracts, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to agreements.
  • Utilize previous experience working within a public entity to navigate administrative procedures effectively.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and ensure they are accurately uploaded to the organization's website in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, ensuring optimal attendance and efficient use of time.
  • Review and edit various documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Assist the HR department in developing, updating, and implementing HR policies as needed.
  • Facilitate board meetings, including logistical arrangements such as food preparation and setup, ensuring all hands are on deck for smooth proceedings.
  • Bring an independent and proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness.

Key Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably with exposure to government or public entity environments.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in document review and editing.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
