Loader LA

Summary:

The Loader position is responsible for performing loading finished product into bulk trailers.

Pay Range: $23.00 per hour to $25.00

Primary Duties:

• Primarily responsible for operating the Yard Tractor to spot flour and farina trailers for loading
• Load flour and feed into trucks
• Follow load out truck schedule
• Verify, print, and post shipping papers (BOL’s/COA’s) and all required loading documents.
• Conduct bulk trailer inspection prior to each load shipping, per MMC food requirements.
• Work with the Facility Administrator, General Plant Support, and the mill to meet customer delivery requirements
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to load out.
• Daily food safety checks.
• Make decisions and handle multiple priorities.
• Perform sanitation and minor maintenance duties.
• Set up & blow back of finished product from trailers into the Mill.
• Document, inspect and communicate blow back and retuned loads
• Monitor and document filter differential readings.
• Monitor and document outside grounds checklist the conditions in feed and flour loadout.
• Cover blender role and responsibilities when needed (breaks and unplanned absences)
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to feed loadout
• Individual is Certified to Operate a Yard Tractor
• Individual is recognized as a Qualified Individual under FSMA compliance requirements.

Work Hours:

Normal working hours are based on three crew shift rotation. Normal shifts are eight hours in length from 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, 10:00pm-6:00am. These hours are subject to change depending on plant needs. Overtime is sometimes required during the week, weekends and on Holidays.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Must be able to use, or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job
• Basic computer skills
• Detail oriented
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Position requires the ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
