Job Description
PCE is an approved and recognized ABR with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), working as both a prime contractor and subcontractor for government ship repair. For more than 40 years, PCE has completed thousands of separate jobs and accomplished major system overhauls on virtually every class of ship currently operating in the U.S. Navy.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for a variety of Commercial, Industrial and Government Ship Repair projects. Manages assigned projects to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget. Manages internal and external resources to accomplish tasks. Resolves problems that cannot otherwise be resolved by the assigned Trade Superintendents and Foreman. Works with the customer to manage contracted work scope requirements. Reviews, edits and tracks all Inspection Deficiency Reports.
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 5 plus years’ experience (military/marine or ship repair industry preferred).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task with multiple projects.
- Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines and/or time constraints.
- Ability to delegate and lead others.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control and costs.
