Job Summary:

Serves as an inventory expeditor/liaison to ensure that parts and materials called out on a Bill of Materials (BOM) arrive on the manufacturing line at the time they're needed, that they are properly transacted within the system/ERP and that in any instances where these two conditions are not fulfilled, they immediately identify the cause(s), implement immediate solution(s) and ensure that all stakeholders are consistently communicated with.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Reconciles parts and material lists with pick lists and bill of materials.
  • Identifies parts and material errors and collaborates to resolve them.
  • Works with teammates to address and correct schedule delays.
  • Ensures that product data is kept current and new product data is updated.
  • Performs initial quality checks to validate that the condition of materials meets specifications.
  • Maintains and defines kitting processes and best practices for operations.
  • Coordinates daily work in progress to meet department goals through prioritization of work and appropriate scheduling resources.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics, production, and procurement teams daily.
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge and proficiency with current computer software, and related hardware.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, listen to, and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift.
  • Ability to operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
  • Ability to develop basic thinking and problem-solving skills to learn and understand Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
  • Ability to operate carts, tuggers, cart caddies, forklifts, and other devices daily.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional specialized/technical training or some college courses preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Travel:

  • Less than 5% travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of time sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching.
  • Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Communicates with customers, service managers, and co-workers.
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
  • Frequently lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50lb approximately 5 times a day.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to temperature extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Requires wearing proper protective and safety equipment (PPE).
  • May be required to perform work in enclosed and/or open vehicles/equipment; cramped spaces and/or on elevated surfaces.
  • Works in extremely bright lighting exposed to flashes of light from welding, high distracting noise levels and body vibration.
  • Maneuvers safely around carts, tuggers, cart caddies, forklifts, and other devices.
