Job Description

The Admissions Coordinator is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: Responsible for obtaining and assembling admissions information to assure efficient, effective, and expeditious admissions into the Hope Network program areas, and for achieving marketing and admission goals as outlined in the Quality Improvement Plan for the Admissions/Marketing Department of Rehabilitation Services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The employee is required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties as assigned by management.

  1. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
  2. Ensure advancement of appropriate admission of referrals in both residential and community divisions. Coordinate and expedite client entry, including completion of paperwork, written communication and confirmation with consumer and family, assembly of record and distribution of new consumer information to case manager.
  3. Participate in the implementation of annual strategic plan for Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation Services.
  4. Work cooperatively with program administration to address quality concerns as stated by consumers and families, insurance representatives, stakeholders, outside professionals. Provide a positive representation of the program to the community.
  5. Participate in the development of an annual strategic plan for Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation. Assist in achieving admissions goals as outlined for this plan.
  6. Respond professionally and positively to program inquiries, and while conducting facility tours.
  7. Strengthen relationships with all referral sources by acting as the initial contact; providing active listening, resources, and recommendations.
  8. Prepare routine and relevant program reports and narratives as requested.
  9. Assist in developing and securing single case agreements including obtaining documentation, collaboration, and communication to all stakeholders related to developing and securing single case agreements with multiple funders.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned and relevant to position responsibilities.

Educational / Talent Requirements:

  1. Minimum Education Required: Bachelors of Arts / Bachelor of Science
  2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff at various levels
  3. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats
  4. Ability to travel locally/regionally periodically
  5. Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable to Hope Network policy
  6. Ability to articulate and actively support the mission of the Hope Network to various audiences
  7. Knowledge of medical terminology

Work Experience Requirements:

  1. Two years’ experience working in rehabilitation or psychiatric program or other human services agency
  2. Experience in human service area
  3. Prior experiences or education in marketing, public relations, and health care
  4. Level 5 – Access to PHI of consumers at affiliate of employment as it pertains to specific caseload
