Role:

Consultant will work within a team project environment and support for the project management team. This support will include participating in client and internal calls and project planning, reviewing client and industry benchmark data, developing analytical models, performing market analysis/research, and drafting summary appraisal reports or other advisory letter documents. Representative clients comprise both private and public entities in the healthcare industry including hospitals and health systems, physician groups, ancillary clinics, publicly traded companies. Consultant will work closely with several team members and will report to a manager, director, or principal for each project.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on an array of health care-related business valuation and transaction support projects, and consulting on financial arrangements between health care services entities.
  • Perform analysis of client data, including, but not limited to, physician productivity, practice / service line profit and loss information, industry structure and trends, economic factors impacting industry, impact of government regulations, etc.
  • Detailed financial modeling and report writing.
  • Thorough, accurate and timely documentation of all work.
  • Review of all work for validity, accuracy of data and professional presentation.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and accountability in collaboration with project team members.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with clients and gain the confidence of top-level client personnel with the goal of becoming the client’s trusted business advisor
  • Remain current of business and economic developments relevant to firm and clients’ business; and use of latest technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance / accounting with emphasis in healthcare.
  • American Society of Appraisers designation, Master of Business Administration, Chartered Financial Analyst designation, or Certified Public Accountant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business valuation or appraisal professional experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis and report writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced excel skill set (Note: after the initial interview/s, an advanced excel aptitude test will be administered)
  • Well-developed understanding of health care industry and in-depth understanding of health care data and methods of data analysis.

Work environment / Other information (Travel required, schedules, etc.) :

  • Willingness and ability to travel (5-15%)
  • If not located in the Denver-metro area, Consultant will be required to complete training at the Denver office – 2 weeks at each location over a period of 6 months

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
