Job Description

Purpose: A bartender’s work is to tend, mix and serves cocktails and other drinks, mainly alcoholic beverages to guest. Providing information to help food and beverage selections; presenting ordered choices; maintaining dining ambiance and follow the sequence of service for the resort


  1. Prepares room for dining by setting the tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
  2. Protects establishment and guest by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Helps guest select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.
  3. Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest' choices; identifying guest' special dietary needs and special requests.
  4. Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  5. Checking the customer’s identification to confirm that the customer is of drinking age
  6. Keep the bar well stocked by maintaining the liquor, garnishes and glasses at the bar
  7. Should be able to mix all the different drinks correctly
  8. Should be able to multitask and handle all the equipment especially in a bar that uses modern technology

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience

High School Diploma

RBS Certification

2 years of Bartending experience in a resort environment

Skills & Ability

Read, write and speak English and Spanish

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for long periods

Ability to lift 30 pounds to 50 pounds

Ability to work weekends and Holidays
