The Talent Acquisition Specialist is the corporate focal point for executing Staffing strategy, recruiting, staffing policy, candidate outreach, management, and recruiting performance solutions across our growing organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be an experienced innovator and creative thinker capable of advancing robust recruiting and staffing objectives that significantly contributes to the overall business strategic objectives. The Talent Acquisition Specialist has a demonstrated and proven track record of attracting high-caliber, cleared, and non-cleared talent, nurturing relationships, and creating a virtual pipeline of diverse talent for current and impending requirements. The selected candidate must have the ability and flexibility to interact with staff at all organizational levels. The position requires the individual to work independently with little or no supervision and must be a proactive and strategic thinker. This position will interface daily with non-employees and internal staff.

Essential Functions

  • Communicates with the Vice President of Operations, Talent Acquisitions, Hiring Managers, and HR for the available positions and their requirements.
  • Leverages current job postings to send recruitment emails.
  • Manages candidate interview schedules with Talent Acquisitions and Hiring Managers.
  • Maintains social media and professional networks to interact with potential candidates.
  • Develops a database within the current Applicant Tracking System for current and future hires.
  • Crowdsources potential candidates.
  • Represent the company as a Talent Acquisition Specialist by attending virtual and in-person hiring events, career fairs, talent acquisition conferences
  • Source, contact, screen, and recommend candidates using various sources and methods, including job boards, internal staffing databases, corporate and personal networks, team member referrals, social media, and word of mouth
  • Create, manage, monitor, and or refine requisition requirements and position postings, aligning them with funded, proposed, and pipeline positions across the organization and providing status reports to leadership.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of candidate information, notes, statuses, and workflow adherence within our internal applicant tracking systems (ADP Work Force Now).
  • Coordinate with the corporate Facilities Security Officer (FSO) to ensure the verification of candidate clearances and monitor the candidate’s crossover.
  • Demonstrate versatility in discussing and highlighting our corporate benefits.
  • Support the enhancement of existing recruiting and hiring processes and make recommendations for improvement and efficiency.
  • Devise and maintain talent acquisition metrics to make data-driven recommendations for sourcing, recruiting, and staffing strategy adjustments.
  • Perform any other Talent Acquisition and recruiting-related duties as required.

Company-wide Accountabilities:

  • Must hold company and client information in strict confidence and shall not be communicated outside the company.
  • All work is to be performed per all government laws, regulations, ordinances, and court rulings in the jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • All work is to be performed in accordance with company policies and standards inherent in all position contracts, system action plans, team member manuals, ongoing policy memorandum, and facilities.
  • VP of Operations, up to the President/CEO, is to be notified of any issues to be resolved or deadlines that cannot be met by reporting position prior to the due date.
  • Problems with any system must be brought to the attention of the VP of Operations so the system can be improved.

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of direct experience sourcing/recruiting for candidates
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, or related
  • An innovative mindset to recommend and implement creative talent acquisition strategies that strengthen BreakForth's competitive advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster strong relationships with candidates, internal customers, and business partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and executives.
