Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our talented team. • The location is in Honakaa, HI, United States
• The working schedule for this role is Shift: Varied shift scheduling of 8-hour shifts: Days 0730 - 1530, Evenings 1500 - 2330, and Nights 2300 0730. including weekends, holidays, OT rotation may be required. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
• The duration is for a contractor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday coverage is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Plans and manages patient care according to each patients needs
• Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition
• Provides routine care for patients
• Observes patients health
• Reviews medical charts
• Assists physicians and registered nurses
  
• Takes and monitors patient vital signs
• Assists patients with eating, dressing, and bathing
• Administer medication
• Communicates changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members
• Maintains accurate patient records
• Collects specimen samples when needed
• Oversees Certified Nursing Assistants and training
• Prepares patients for transfers or discharge
• Assists in medical procedures
• Provides wound care
  
• Monitors catheters
  
• Manages emergency medical situations
  

Qualifications:

• Completion of state approved training program (generally in the form of a diploma, certificate, or associate degree)
  
• 1 or more years recent nursing experience
  
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - must have passed NCLEX-PN exam
  
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
• Professional, friendly attitude
