JOB SUMMARY

The IT Specialist I will be responsible for the maintenance and end-to-end support of desktop/laptop computers, user accounts, and various network peripherals. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals along with reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating information technology systems operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first tier technical support to the help desk with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues through the triage of initial calls or tickets.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and escalate when needed to other IT support staff with proper documentation of the issue in the ticket.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Support of workstations and printers including installation of software, hardware, and upgrades
  • Support of applications including, but not limited to: Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 products – Office, Teams, OneDrive
  • Support of the cloud based phone system
  • Support of user accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Assist in maintaining department records pertaining to all hardware, software, networks and service agreements
  • Assist with project efforts and overall infrastructure enhancements to meet company goals and objectives
  • Maintain asset inventory, user licensing and other related and relevant records
  • Instruct end-users on the use of relevant technology
  • Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Participate in on-site weekend rotation for help desk coverage

Preferred

  • Experience with software installation, configuration and diagnostics with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suites
  • Knowledge of end-user desktop issues ranging from desktop support, e-mail, Remote Support tools, application support, web technologies and IT security
  • Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network+ certification
  • Have exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate a high level of analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Be able to write processes and understand technical documentation
  • Must demonstrate complete professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Have high ethical standards and an ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Be efficient with time management and able to meet deadlines
  • Be a self-starter and able to prioritize workload
  • Sustain productive work with little supervision
  • Embody and exemplify NOC Core Values and Standards of Conduct
