Position Summary
Develops and administers a transportation program to meet all the requirements of the daily transportation operations in a multi-county area. Recruits and supervises transportation personnel and makes recommendations on employment, transfers, promotions and separations.

Develops and administers a transportation program to meet all the requirements of the daily transportation operations in a multi-county area. Recruits and supervises transportation personnel and makes recommendations on employment, transfers, promotions and separations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares bus routes
- Prepare weekly schedules for drivers and dispatchers
- Must be able to drive all PACS Vehicles and fill in as necessary
- Prepares and updates bus schedules
- Works with Maintenance Staff to maintain Fleet Vehicles assigned to this division
- Submits transportation employee payroll time sheets on a semi-monthly basis
- Maintain safety standards in conformance with state and insurance regulations
- Conforms to all state laws and regulations regarding public transportation.
- Submits all reports to Director or Assistant Director of Transportation or Operations Manager
- Contacts local news media during inclement weather
- Attends appropriate staff meetings
- Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality
- Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned by the Director or Assistant Director
- Keeps track of driver progress on routes
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Other Professional Skill Requirements
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and written.
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must have superior organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills
