Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inventory and cost analysis to identify areas for improvement with cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with other teams to streamline costs and inventories.
- Monitor and analyze production costs, finished goods, raw materials by providing insights to optimize resource utilization.
- Prepare and present detailed inventory and cost reports to support strategic decision-making.
Communications:
- Effectively communicates with other Team members, suppliers, customers by use of emails, phone, and/or fax communication on a timely basis.
- Ability to compile and develop monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ability to communicate technical business-related information to others internally and externally.
Organizational:
- Ensure that all required reporting is up to date and accurate.
- Ability to organize and develop reports to meet internal and external requirements.
Technical:
- Proficient knowledge of Cost Accounting Principles.
- Excellent detail and math calculation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and accounting software experience related to inventory and costs.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven 5+ years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- QuickBooks
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost calculations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various teams.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
