Texas Tissue is seeking a meticulous and results-driven Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for cost analysis, financial efficiency, and are ready to contribute to the success of a leading company in the tissue industry, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inventory and cost analysis to identify areas for improvement with cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other teams to streamline costs and inventories.
  • Monitor and analyze production costs, finished goods, raw materials by providing insights to optimize resource utilization.
  • Prepare and present detailed inventory and cost reports to support strategic decision-making.

Communications:

  • Effectively communicates with other Team members, suppliers, customers by use of emails, phone, and/or fax communication on a timely basis.
  • Ability to compile and develop monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Ability to communicate technical business-related information to others internally and externally.

Organizational:

  • Ensure that all required reporting is up to date and accurate.
  • Ability to organize and develop reports to meet internal and external requirements.

Technical:

  • Proficient knowledge of Cost Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent detail and math calculation skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and accounting software experience related to inventory and costs.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • QuickBooks
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost calculations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
