Salary: $10.00/hr training rate; $5.25/hr plus tips after training completion

POSITION SUMMARY:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with chefs and other staff.

Responsible for taking orders and serving food to guests. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips, and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.

This position will require working most Friday and Saturdays.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 (including but not limited to):

  • Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
  • Write patrons' food orders on order slips, and enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
  • Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
  • Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Help food preparation staff when necessary.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including all tables and chairs.
  • Restocks the dining room and side stations with tableware, flatware, utensils, condiments and linen.
  • Always maintain adequate supplies in the side station when the restaurant is open.
  • Reset tables with fresh linens and set the table according to the meal period.
  • Cleaning side stations and stocking and replenishing side station supplies.
  • Other duties deemed necessary by Supervisor, Manager, and/or Department Director.

Server Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure.
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner

THINGS TO NOTE:

  • Flexibility and adaptability to a changing clientele and environment are a must.
  • Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
