Automotive Billing Clerk at Lockhart Cadillac

Job Summary:
The Automotive Billing Clerk at Lockhart Cadillac Fishers is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing all paperwork related to the sale of vehicles. This individual will work closely with the sales team, financial institutions, and state agencies to ensure all required documents and payments are processed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate for this position has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a good understanding of accounting and finance principles.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position within the auto industry. The compensation for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience. In addition, the selected candidate will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify all documentation related to vehicle sales, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, and trade-in documents

- Process payments and ensure accuracy of financial information

- Coordinate with financial institutions to secure timely payment and funding for vehicle sales

- Communicate with customers and sales team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to vehicle transactions

- Communicate with sales team on status updates of vehicle sales and document completion

- Provide management with month end schedules for financial statement processing

- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college or formal training in accounting or finance preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the auto industry
- Knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Familiarity with state laws and regulations related to vehicle sales and registration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems
