About the Position

The Supply Chain Coordinator works within the DYCO Quality Management System and is responsible for Procurement, Production Control, Operations Planning and logistics. Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator manages Production Control and Operations Planning for DYCO.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Supply Chain Planner works with and in conjunction with the Buyer to ensure materials needed to support production requirements are on schedule by:
    1. Managing PO’s for the supply chain including expediting and rescheduling.
    2. Planning material requirements.
    3. Overseeing materials management of the supply chain.
  • Understands capacity requirements and constraints of both operations and suppliers.
  • Maintains and supports reports, analytics, and metrics to support the business.
  • Manage the Sales & Operations Planning cycle to translate objectives into achievable short, mid, and long-term production plans including the production scheduling to meet financial and performance goals including customer delivery dates and internal production rates.
  • Drive standardized work activities to ensure Critical to Quality (CTQ) and Critical to Process (CTP) requirements are observed by personnel.
  • Develop formal schedules for machine, man, and material, including outside services based upon capacity and resources. Execution of plan and create visual the results of execution or preferred level.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to assist with and help develop and direct order fulfillment strategies that consistently result in 100% on-time performance to customer needs and schedules.
  • Assists as needed with the daily workflow of the department.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Resolve significant supply chain problems through the application of Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business and/or Engineering from accredited college or university, or equivalent Manufacturing/Supply Chain work - a minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in an international supply chain management role.

Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in Supply Chain or MTLS Management, including ideally 5 of those years of S&OP/IBP experience. Strong Data and Analytics / data modeling experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The Supply Chain Coordinator works with and in conjunction with the Buyer to ensure materials needed to support production requirements. Using Dyco’s current process, develops production build plans, operations schedules, and shipping schedules in cooperation with Operations management, based on customer request dates, material availability, and manufacturing capacities. Will initiate, design, develop, and implement a continuous improvement project for the improvement of the overall supply chain, focusing on planning utilizing LEAN tools and DMAIC methods. The Supply Chain Coordinator will display business analysis, strong communication skills (verbal and written). They will possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, alignment, and commitment from key stake holders. Additionally, they will demonstrate the ability to problem solve and drive continuous process improvement.
