A division of 3D Corporate Solutions, our SC Pet Solutions, LLC plant is located in Ward, SC. We are currently seeking a Relief Wastewater Technician with strong a strong mechanical background with the below qualifications. The schedule will be apart of one of the below shifts as needed for relief:

A Shift – (6:00am-6:00pm) Sunday-Monday-Tuesday every other Wednesday

B Shift – (6:00pm-6:00am) Sunday-Monday-Tuesday every other Wednesday

C Shift – (6:00am-6:00pm) Thursday-Friday-Saturday every other Wednesday

D Shift – (6:00pm-6:00am) Thursday-Friday-Saturday every other Wednesday

Summary

Responsible for the technical aspects of plant waste water operations, compliance with state and federal operating regulations. Work is performed with considerable independence under the direction of the Environmental & Land Manager, subject to review through testing and reports..

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the company is in compliance with external environmental regulations and standards and internal environmental policies and management systems
  • Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process
  • Manage all environmental reports required by laws, regulations, and corporate policies
  • Complete annual reporting to include but not limited to wastewater, air and land permits
  • Record results and prepare simple technical reports to comply with environmental regulations and standards
  • Assess the environmental risk of activities and advise management of potential environmental impact
  • Maintain environmental records and contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely environmental reports that are submitted internally and to external agencies
  • Perform required environmental training for onsite personnel
  • On call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the plant and pump stations.
  • Conduct the necessary weekend checks of the treatment plant on a rotating basis.
  • Serve as primary contact for governmental regulatory agencies
  • Other duties as deemed appropriate by the company

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Demonstrated skill as a forward thinker with an ability to learn
  • Problem-solving skills are a must
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold an Wastewater Operator’s A, B, C or D license
  • Experience in Wastewater
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Understanding of cause and effect of all downstream operations
  • Knowledge of product/customer specifications
  • Mechanical aptitude for machine operation
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as well as printed machine manual of operation

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Walk / stand 100% of time during a 12–hour shift.
  • Must be able to work in a hot humid environment for up to 12 hours at a time
  • Must be able to stand, climb stairs, ladders, etc up to 80% of the time
  • Must be able to lift and carry buckets with up to 55 lbs liquid on an occasional basis, including lifting and pouring at shoulder level or above
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs on an infrequent basis
  • Work in an environment directly affected by weather outside.
