Dead Freddies is hiring Servers!

We are a pirate-themed restaurant with great beach playground options for families as well as sports & tiki bars for adults. Our focus is fresh, quality food & drinks cooked to order & served with lots of interaction with our guests. We strive to give guests an experience they will remember long after their vacation is over.

As a server you are the one person in the restaurant who is the most responsible for shaping the guests experience. We expect you to go above & beyond with each party by recommending signature items, providing insight & engaging the guests. Each party that you wow with your service is an opportunity to make a regular guest which puts more money in your pocket & your teammate’s pockets. Servers must always work as a team to ensure guest satisfaction & to maintain restaurant cleanliness & stock. Be the kind of coworker you would want to have! Servers must be upbeat, kind, approachable & knowledgeable.

Servers will be ranked based on their up-sells & errors. This ranking is used to determine section sizes. Servers should actively try to move their way up on the ranking charts.

Duties

  • Responsible for arriving to work with a positive attitude, on time & prepared to work in the correct uniform with all assigned supplies.
  • Responsible for following training & following all procedures & rules covered in the employee handbook & training materials.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean section & server station & following all health department guidelines to ensure the safety of our guests.
  • This includes following spill procedures & sweeping sandy floors.
  • Responsible for keeping all tools in their labeled locations & reporting when items are missing or need to be replaced.
  • Responsible for completing Jolt lists for your section
  • Responsible for working in your own section & ensuring the satisfaction of guests within your section while assisting neighbors in their section by pre-bussing & running drinks.
  • Maintain a positive working environment for yourself & other employees around you, promote teamwork & efficiency.
  • Due to the size of the restaurant servers must work together & help each other make more money & achieve bigger sections.
  • Responsible for getting managers involved in every guest issue & not attempting to fix problems yourself.
  • Responsible for money handling & collecting payment for all checks.
  • Responsible for serving alcohol responsibly & following alcohol service guidelines as outlined in training.
  • Responsible for using knowledge gained from training to answer guest questions.
  • You should see yourself as each table’s personal expert & navigate the menu with them instead of letting them stumble through it.
  • Responsible for providing personalized service to each guest in a warm & engaging manner.
  • Convey your own personality professionally & get to know your guests don’t make it a drive through experience.
  • Responsible for properly using radios to communicate with staff members.

Lunch shift is estimated to be 11am-4pm.
Dinner shift is estimated to be 4pm-12am
