Subaru Stamford is looking to add a sales consultant to our growing Pre Owned Sales department.  We have been in business over 18 years with a large inventory to sell from and a loyal customer base.

Job Description:

The Sales Consultant, reporting to the Pre Owned Manager, is accountable for understanding the dealerships’ inventory (all specifications, controls, capabilities, and benefits) and explaining the information to customers. The Sales Consultant must be personable, friendly, honest, and enjoy talking to people.

General Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and working with Automotive computer systems and processes
  • Taking customers on test drives, ensuring all proper paperwork and documentation is complete and accurate
  • Working with the Finance Department to ensure exceptional purchase experiences for the customers.
  • Understanding and communicating how to service and maintain vehicles
  • Creating good customer relationships and having a good customer base

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
  • Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • A desire to work in a commission, performance-based, environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sales experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
