Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Lindenmere Gift Merchandising Team Member you will provide excellent customer service to all store guests. You will work closely with store Management to ensure that all merchandise is displayed in an attractive and organized manner. This is a part-time to full-time, hourly position in Bridgeville, Delaware. This is an individual-contributor role, and you will be responsible for completing tasks primarily independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Customer Service
- Interact with customers, providing exceptional service and assisting with any inquiries or concerns. Assist guests in the shopping experience by providing information regarding sales, promotions and product information. Encourage communication through email and social media engagement.
- Execute a seamless checkout procedure including carefully scanning merchandise, ensuring all appropriate discounts, accepting or declining payment with etiquette and wrapping merchandise for gifting or transport.
- Adhere to assigned work schedule, be punctual and adhere to personal appearance policy.
Shift Sales Floor Management
- Maintain the store floor and cash wrap in clean, organized, and easy-to-navigate manner.
- Fully understand and perform various sales and register transactions and all associated end-of-day-reporting.
- Routinely "sweep" the sales floor to clean and organize displays.
Floorset
- Collaborate with Management to determine and execute the best merchandise displays. Set up displays according to guidelines, ensuring that all items are accurately priced and labeled. Utilize creative and innovative ideas to improve store displays and customer experience.
- Receive new shipments, unbox, complete associated paperwork, tag, and place new merchandise as it arrives. Adjust current merchandise. Rotating the floor set requires moving boxes, palletizing, adjusting shelving, moving tables and using a ladder.
-Conduct rolling inventory and restock merchandise as needed. Communicate with management about inventory needs and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- Must work some Holidays, evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of recent experience in retail or likewise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time and be comfortable using a ladder
- Proficient in moderate level computer skills, including data entry, cash register and inventory tracking systems
