Precigen has developed novel manufacturing processes to deliver UltraCAR-T® and AdenoVerse™ immunotherapies to patients. We have multiple products being evaluated in the clinic using our innovative manufacturing approach to cell and gene therapies.

Based in our Germantown, Maryland office Precigen is seeking a Research Associate II, Translational Immunology to support discovery and preclinical/translational research. We are seeking candidates with exceptional cellular therapy, immunology and immune-oncology research skills looking for a fast paced, exciting working environment utilizing state of the art technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply immunological laboratory techniques to research projects.
  • Perform experiments with a careful attention to detail and accurately record procedures, data and results in electronic lab notebook (ELN), batch records or other form of documentation.
  • Generate, analyze and present data to supervisor and/or group members and make intellectual and technical contributions to the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional weekend work is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. (3+ years of experience) or M.S. (1+ years of experience) in Cell Biology, Immunology or related field.
  • Industry experience working with clinical samples is preferred.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Able to follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and familiarity of batch records.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (GLP, GCLP or GMP).
  • Sterile cell culture techniques required.
  • Experience with culturing and expanding human primary immune cells is preferred but not required.
  • Isolation of immune cells from human blood or other biological specimens.
  • Multicolor (4+ channel) flow cytometry including use of flow cytometer(s) and flow analysis software preferred.
  • Assay development experience and utilizing various assay platforms is preferred but not required.
  • Multiplexed assay experience (MSD or Luminex) is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
