ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders.  PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

JOB SUMMARY:

Entry level client serving position for individuals with limited counseling skills and/or experience. Involves responsibility for the health, safety, and security of clients assigned. Involves transportation of clients in an approved agency vehicle. Under appropriate supervision, may provide information and education to clients in a group setting. Provides 24-hour coverage during assigned shift. Skills include understanding of how mental health issues co-occur with substance abuse issues, understanding of the disease concept of addiction and a basic understanding of drug exposed children.

SHIFT SCHEDULE:

11:30 PM - 7:30 AM

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, some college preferred.

One years’ experience in treatment, counseling education or related field preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be cleared by PAR auto insurance carrier to operate a PAR vehicle
  • Current CPR and first aid certification
  • Must pass background and fingerprinting checks
