The Role: The Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all site-­specific social programs, resources, and activities. This includes ensuring effective communication with and among residents and other involved parties; successfully marketing program services to the designated community; planning and facilitating quality programs that meet both the needs of community residents and the social impact goals and objectives of Avanath; and promoting the good will of Avanath.

The incumbent in this role must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for our residents and the workforce.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience planning, organizing, and implementing community-­based activities and special programs preferred.
  • Expertise in cultivating short-term and long-term relationships with target communities and other evidence of strong interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of available community resources.
  • Steadfast belief that every person is capable of high levels of achievement.
  • Outstanding organizational, program development, and customer service skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing organization priorities.
  • Experience supervising volunteer staff.
  • Experience raising public awareness and marketing organization works and programs.
  • High level of initiative, professionalism, and flexibility with an ability to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and team orientation
  • High level of competence using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Committed to receiving and giving clear feedback and engaging in continuous improvement.
  • Current CPR and first aid certifications, preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in human services, social work or related field preferred.

Key Accountabilities

  • Resident Services
    • Planning, designing, coordinating, and facilitating all direct and indirect programs, program registration and orientations, events, and resident meetings for all resident demographics.
    • Manages and engages external partners and volunteers to successfully support programming.
    • Establishing and maintaining relationship with all community partners and residents.
    • Maintaining a working knowledge of all social service programs functioning within and external to the resident community.
    • Creates and promotes outreach opportunities that empower and enrich development.
    • Assist residents with lease compliance issues such as housekeeping, late rental payment, and recertification.
    • Referring residents to services offered by community resources organizations based on the needs of residents.
    • Serving as communications liaison between all property management staff, residents, and external community resource agencies.
    • Effectively assessing and evaluating program effectiveness and resident impact.
    • Producing quality flyers and maintaining an accurate calendar of all resident services.
    • Tracking and reporting on all social service programs, events, resident engagement, and other efforts related to resident services, organizing and storing all program-related files, including photos, receipts, invoices, survey data, and reports.
    • Distributing all advertisement tools necessary to maintain resident awareness, retention, and participation in resident services offered, including social media platforms.
    • Responding swiftly to resident requests and incidents associated with resident services that affect Avanath's reputation and/or the safety of residents, and that impact our commitment to quality customer service.
    • Adhering to all Avanath staff and resident service policies, protocols, and procedures.
    • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • The incumbent in this is classified as essential staff and is expected to report to work and adhere to all safety and business protocols.

  • Repetitive use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone
  • Reading, comprehending, writing, performing calculations, communicating verbally.
  • May work in an elevated site, may walk on uneven ground.
  • Occasional squatting, bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, pushing, and pulling.
