Kings Creek Country Club, located in Rehoboth Beach, DE is seeking a self-starter and team player to join their maintenance team as an Assistant in Training.
The Assistant in Training reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and works closely with the Assistant Superintendents.
Club highlights:
- Annual Rounds: 33,000
- Maintenance budget - $1.8 Million
- Maintenance Staff - 26 total team members in-season (12 full-time)
- Future projects: Shop Renovation study being completed now. Ongoing master plan updates.
- Irrigation type - Rain Bird IC
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Daily course maintenance
- Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the Rain Bird Irrigation System
- Diligent and accurate record keeping
- Leading projects
- Schedule and lead small crew on golf course maintenance and special projects

INITIAL PRIORITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Obtain DE pesticide license within 90 days of hire
- Maintain irrigation system
- Assist with chemical and fertilizer application and record keeping
- Work side-by-side with the crew on their staff assignments at times to ensure productivity and efficiency with assignments
- Get a familiarity with the course and the staff
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary: $55,000

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree preferred, but will consider those with the right attitude, work experience, and professional references.
