Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager at The Okoboji Store is in charge of coordinating and supervising the kitchen staff according to food safety standards. The Kitchen Manager will lead back-of-house staff including Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Dishwashers before, during and after meal service.

Responsibilities

The following responsibilities will be expected for this position:

• Oversee operations of the kitchen
• Coach, train, and oversee kitchen team
• Ensure quality and consistency of dishes
• Menu development and planning special event menus
• Manage and maintain product inventory
• Work as a member of the management team to direct the overall smooth operations of a 400 seated lakefront restaurant and entertainment venue

Requirements

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a demanding environment
• Experience in experimenting and creating new, high quality culinary dishes
