Title: Housekeeping Weekend Supervisor

Reports to: Director of Hotel Operations

Overview: The purpose of this position is to ensure the cleanliness of rooms and public spaces. The Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor position will come in contact with guests and will need to have positive guest interaction. Housekeeping Associates play an important role for our home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day.

Summary of Position: Ensure cleanliness of guest rooms as assigned. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest’s requests or complaints. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping staff, including scheduling and assigning duties
  • Ensure all rooms are properly cleaned and stocked to meet hotel standards
  • Ensure that all safety and sanitary regulations are followed
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Manage inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, and room essentials
  • Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
  • Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning an industry standard number of rooms per shift (approximately 10-14 rooms).
  • Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
