Therapist CCC Jail Program-Part-Time

Are you looking for an exciting and new job opportunity?  Consider joining our team!  We provide substance abuse services directly to the inmates of the Macomb County Jail.  This challenging population includes people who have struggled with Substance Use & Mental Health Disorders, trauma, homelessness, and recidivism, due to reliance on a criminal lifestyle.  You would not have to work any nights or weekends, and you'd be working with a small team of dedicated professionals who have over 71 combined years of experience in providing treatment services in the jail.  

We are in need of someone who can provide assessments for our Fast Track program, with the possibility of conducting treatment groups and/or prevention services down the road.  

We are looking for someone who:

• Licensed as a Counselor or Social Worker, with no complaints on file
• Is certified through MCBAP as a CADC/CAADC, or is willing to obtain a Development Plan upon hire,
• Has a clear criminal record,
• Has 2 years' experience in SUD/MH counseling; criminal justice system experience is desirable,
• Displays excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and computer skills,
• Has excellent diagnostic skills,
• Is trained to use Motivational Interviewing techniques, and
• Is passionate about helping others!
