Take the next step in your healthcare career and join Fairfax Radiological Consultants as a Physician Scheduling Liaison at our Fairfax Business Office in Fairfax, VA. This role is full-time, Monday-Friday.

This position will be responsible for providing a range of services to support the FRC Physicians and APPs related to their work schedules, timekeeping, and payroll. The Physician Scheduling Liaison works closely with the physicians and physician leaders to assist in generating the diagnostic, interventional radiology, and advance practice provider (APP) schedules, capturing any schedule changes with payroll implications, and processing physician and staff payroll.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining physician monthly, quarterly, and yearly schedules. Incorporate vacation selection and weekend assignments and publish schedules in a timely fashion. Review scheduling challenges with section leaders.
  • Assist with schedule changes and assignment and tracking of additional shifts, including documentation and communication with physicians. Track, document, and accurately reflect these changes in payroll.
  • Create new tasks and add provider profiles into the scheduling and payroll software.
  • Update call schedules as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding of new physicians.
  • Process staff and APP bi-weekly and physician monthly payrolls in the payroll software system.
  • Process physician reimbursements and track annual education allowances for employed physicians. Process staff educational and travel expense reports. Obtain and track appropriate documentation of expenses.
  • Process changes for employee demographics, withholdings, benefits deductions, direct deposits, special payments, bonus calculations and 401k contribution rate changes.
  • Work closely with Human Resources on benefit enrollment, changes, and cancellations.
  • Notify Human Resources of any status or demographic changes.
  • Make necessary payroll changes when employees are on Worker’s Compensation or Disability.
  • Ensure use of Paid Time Off is accurately tracked and paid.
  • Balance and reconcile payrolls. Prepare related journal entries for operating statements.
  • Manage year-end payroll practices including organizing and verifying the final payroll run, preparation of W-2s, and roll-over of system to new payroll year. Process any W-2 corrections as required.
  • Prepare reports for Bureau of Labor Statistics and other government entities as requested including but not limited to 1095-C and 1099.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting and three years of relevant experience. A comparable combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with physician scheduling and payroll preferred.
  • Experience with QGenda preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Must be able to access, input and retrieve information from the computer.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs for normal office operations.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office as well as remain in a stationary or standing position throughout the day.
