Repair Coordinator Lead

This is an inside Repair Coordinator Lead position. That means if you are an introvert, this is probably not your calling. You will be interacting with repair crews and clients daily.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $70,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

LEADERSHIP 

  • Manages repair team and job-site crew members to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary guidelines. 
  • Estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job to create project schedules. 
  • Prepares project schedules, allocates resources, and tracks project progress using project management software. Reports project status to relevant Managers.  
  • Manages and tracks project budgets, including material costs, labor expenses, and other project-related expenditures. 
  • Answers questions and assists crew members if problems arise related to project work, materials, equipment, or crew. Clarifies project instructions and commitments to customers. 
  • Coordinates with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion. 
  • Sources and negotiates contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project specifications. 
  • May assist with hiring and training Operations staff members. 


QUALITY CONTROL 

  • Communicates with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered to project sites and deliveries are sent out. 
  • Verifies with crew that proper materials and equipment were delivered to the job site.  
  • Ensures repair projects are assigned the necessary crew, equipment, and materials for project work and to meet project deadlines. 
  • Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet project schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned site leaders and crew members. 
  • Ensures work is completed in a timely and professional manner and that quality standards are maintained throughout the process. 
  • Communicates with customers to ensure satisfaction with ongoing and previous projects (mainly roofing repairs). 
  • Collaborates with the sales team to review project requirements, evaluate feasibility, and provide accurate cost estimates and proposals to clients. 

 
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP 

  • Creates positive rapport with homeowners throughout the project, ensuring crew members inspire confidence and trust. 
  • Responds to and resolves customer concerns as needed. 
  • May serve as an additional point-of-contact for customers and assist in keeping them informed of work progress. 

PROBLEM-SOLVING 

  • Resolves worksite problems or scheduling issues. 
  • Responds to roofing emergencies such as leaks and other reported problems. 
  • Resolves any issues customers may have and contacts other parties as needed.
  • Reports more complex problems to the Operations Manager if needed. 
Qualifications:

Skills Needed

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment without getting overwhelmed. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, installation techniques, and safety standards. 
  • Computer skills and proficiency in (or willingness to learn) project management software. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. 

Position Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably roofing. 
  • 1-2 years of leadership and project management experience preferred. 
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work well with people by communicating effectively and with professionalism. 
  • Must be able to write reports and letters with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar. 
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required. 
  • Must be willing to work from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
  • Willing to be on call for occasional roofing emergencies at night or on weekends

Physical Demands

  • Majority of time is spent in-office sitting at a desk engaging in phone conversations or operating a computer and performing tasks that require concentration and focus. 
  • May occasionally visit job sites, which requires the ability to climb ladders and safely navigate construction sites. The ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as roofing materials and ladders may be needed during these visits. The candidate must be in good physical condition to perform these tasks safely.
