Job Title: Compounder

Department: Rigid Core

Reports To: Swing Shift Manager

Shift: Swing Night 7pm-7am

Pay Rate: $19.15

Summary

Responsible for chopping cured rubber material into chip form for mixing into a rubber batch by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

? Will need to operate grinding/milling equipment

? Will need to preform visual checks to ensure product is free of contaminants

? Will need to weigh chopped/milled material to a specified weight

? Will need to read and understand a schedule while using a computer interface to record production

? Rotate between Chip compounding and the Corner press.

? Overtime is/may be required. ? Other duties as assigned

General Tasks required of all associates

? Operator must understand and follow 5S and good housekeeping in their respective areas

? Must adhere to all safety policies within Mannington, The Rubber Plant and specific to job being preformed ? Operators will Clean their equipment throughout the shift and at shutdowns

Language Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
