We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our federal team based out of our Rockville, MD location that supports our teams all over the country by providing timely and insightful financial reporting, associated analysis and advice to the business leaders, project managers, and other operations team members of the Federal Systems business.

Location:
Rockville, MD office. Hybrid schedule; 3 days in office, 2 days from home
Shift:
Primarily day shift hours, Monday-Friday
Benefits:
Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
Paid Time Off:
3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 10 standard holidays, and 3 floating holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total)

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

 

  • Support monthly reporting and forecasting, project reviews, profitability analysis, pricing proposal support, reporting packages and annual budgeting for the business, service centers and headquarters
  • Support the financial analysis function for the business, plus HQ shared service centers and HQ leadership team costs and associated allocations consistent with disclosure statement representations.
  • Provide ongoing analysis and reporting package of monthly results, profitability, TWC and key business metrics for the business leadership team.
  • Support the monthly project level reviews and forecasting for P&L and balance sheet.
  • Support the quarterly total year outlook and annual financial plan construction process.
  • Provide daily support to field project managers and region manager in the execution of their projects and use of the business’s financial systems.
  • Support the sales team in pricing, cost analysis and approvals for new proposals (consistent with CAS requirements) and tracking all new secured sales.
  • Provide oversight and guidance, and indirect leadership, to the finance team for the provision of all financial services consistent with the business processes.
  • Support the monthly closing process, and interface with accounting.
  • Calculate monthly sales commissions and all incentive bonuses for salespeople.
  • Provide reporting and drive improvement in business trade working capital (TWC).

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience with financial analysis or a related function, preferably for large, enterprise size teams
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to be a business partner and drive financial results
  • Ability to work and be effective in a high dynamic, cross-functional, and team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Individual computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, etc)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience working for a government or defense contractor

 

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience
