Systems Engineer IV

JRAD is seeking candidates for an immediate fill Systems Engineer position supporting the Joint Project Manager for CBRN Protection (JPM CBRN P). This is hybrid position with two days on-site at the JPM CBRN P office in Stafford, VA and three days telework.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Conduct systems engineering process analysis, manage process analyses submitted by junior systems engineers, and provide input to the Chief and Deputy Engineers by identifying and defining required tests; monitoring test coverage; evaluating overall quality experienced; specifying required test data; evaluating the outcome of testing conducted in each test cycle; and providing feedback and input to functional IPTs, Interim Progress Reviews (IPRs), milestone decisions, and required program updates.

• Provide Senior Systems Engineering support across the JPM CBRN P portfolio, including Uniform Integrated Protection Ensemble Family of Systems (UIPE FoS), Contamination Indicator Decontamination Assurance System (CIDAS), Joint Strategic Aircrew Mask (JSAM), Autonomous Decontamination System (ADS), and expeditionary and ship-board collective protection systems (JECP).

• Develop and maintain all systems engineering documentation [e.g., Systems Evaluation Plan (SEP), Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Risk Management Plan (RMP), etc.] and assist in the development of high-level programmatic documents in support of the Chief Engineer and Deputy

• Develop and/or provide systems engineering input into program documentation (e.g., Life Cycle Cost Estimate [LCCE], Life Cycle Management Plan [LCMP], Test and Evaluation Master Plans [TEMP], and Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES), etc) and review other engineer-submitted documents

• Lead program-level Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for systems engineering, risk management, and configuration management

• Review and approve the translation of program requirements into language for a Performance Specification (PSpec), Statement of Work (SOW), and associated Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items for material solution solicitation

• Mentor newly assigned systems engineers to acclimate them to the JPM CBRN P systems working environment

• Respond to systems engineering inquiries and taskers in absence of the Chief Engineer or Deputy

Required Skills and Education:

• Standard Requirement: The contractor shall possess a Master’s degree in Engineering with ten (10) years of general experience and six (6) years of relevant experience

• Tradeoff Requirement: The contractor shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with twelve (12) years of general experience and eight (8) years of relevant experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Security Clearance:

• Active Secret clearance required
