SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for ensuring that all products loaded on a vessel are counted and tallied accurately and timely. Coordinate with personnel to ensure hatches do not run out of product. Responsible for the accuracy of all reports that are used to balance with the office. Constantly monitor the QA clerks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for visual inspection of all products being received or loaded.

• Responsible for accuracy of all counts and for following proper tallying procedures.

• Responsible for accuracy legibility completion and timely submission of all documentation.

• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping in work and dock area.

• Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently

• Must be able to work in unprotected outdoor areas

• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math

• Good communication skills

• Good understanding of warehouse and stevedoring operation procedures and policies

• Quality auditing experience

• Familiarity with export requirements and documents

• Ability to communicate with diverse personalities

• High School or Equivalent, Certification/Diploma

• 6+ months warehouse experience performing quality audits

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this position associate is required to stand walk and reach with hands and arms. Required to lift and carry up to 60 lbs on an intermittent basis. The associate is frequently required to walk on concrete with alternate standing/squatting/bending. While performing the duties of this position associate is subject to an outside environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
