Position Overview: As a Sales / Inventory Coordinator at Restoration Forest Products, you will play a crucial role in facilitating sales processes and managing inventory to meet customer demands. You will work closely with the sales team, collaborate with various departments, and ensure accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and optimized inventory levels. This job is not remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order Processing and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with sales representatives to accurately process and coordinate customer orders, ensuring all necessary details are captured.
    • Liaise with operations and dispatch teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and on-time deliveries.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and product availability to support efficient order fulfillment and prevent stockouts.
    • Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective actions.
  3. Customer Interaction:
    • Communicate with customers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and address any inquiries or concerns.
    • Provide updates to customers regarding order status and shipment tracking information.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of sales orders, invoices, and inventory transactions.
    • Generate reports on sales trends, inventory turnover, and product performance for management review.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure products meet specified standards.
    • Address and resolve any discrepancies related to product quality, quantity, or condition.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with various departments, including sales, operations, and dispatch, to ensure smooth coordination and information sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Education – A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain Management experience
  • Previous experience in sales coordination, inventory management, or related roles in the lumber &/or building materials industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including QuickBase, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, & PowerPoint) and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Passion for sustainable practices and an appreciation for wood products is a plus.
