SUMMARY:

Health Center Administrator (HCA) will be responsible for providing operational leadership for the Patient Care Supervisors (PCS) and Patient Experience Supervisors (PES) at the designated health center(s). The HCA will serve as a resource and assist in monitoring the quality of the clinical standards of care as it relates to infection control, medication management and medication safety. This includes ongoing monitoring of clinic workflows and quality logs for integrity and accuracy as well as collecting, analyzing and reporting data for the agency as it relates to the areas of medication management, infection control and other initiatives related to health quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct ongoing surveillance and data reporting through regular site audits to ensure compliance for medication management and safety and infection control to align with standards related to the Joint Commission, OSHA, Public Health Department and Center for Disease Control.
  • Facilitate clinical trainings for new hire onboarding, quarterly trainings, and remedial trainings based on identified need.
  • Collaborate with PCS and PES to facilitate staff development that includes goal setting for performance improvement.
  • Provide supervision and feedback that maximizes employee potential, promotes positive problem solving and improvement of systems.
  • Utilize quality improvement practices and data driven problem-solving methods to improve, develop and maintain health center systems and procedures.
  • Ensure patient/customer satisfaction by analyzing and reporting patient/customer satisfaction input through focus groups, surveys, individual contacts and patient complaints, concerns and suggestions, utilizing the PDSA model for problem-solving.
  • Coordinate with PES and PCS to ensure appropriate and adequate amount of supplies are maintained for patient care.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Safety in development and implementation of medication management and infection control trainings for improving compliance.
  • Collaborate with Infection Control to ensure compliance for mandated IDPH reporting.
  • Collaborate with Infection Control to develop and implement protocols for improving Infection Control compliance.
  • Oversee specialty clinics for COVID Vaccines and Behavioral Health Injections.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates or LPN/RN degree preferred.
  • 3 -5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting, required.
  • Working knowledge of Excel/Word/Outlook


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current driver’s license
  • Current auto insurance
