Job Summary

 

Pacific Northern Environmental LLC (PNE LLC) is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.

                                               

Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of four divisions include Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC has offices in multiple states.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing payables for vendors, sub-contractors, and employee expense reimbursements by entering, routing, reviewing, and posting to our ERP system, Spectrum.

 

Education and Experience Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver's License preferred
  • 4 years of full cycle accounts payable experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable workflow routing for approval.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptability to learn our business, understand processes and communicate suggested improvements.
  • Previous experience with common office equipment, such as modern multi-line phone systems, fax machines, copy machines, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Handle multiple priorities accurately and calmly with interruptions and still meet deadlines.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:

 

  • Scan/file supporting documents into the system.
  • Code and process credit cards
  • Reconcile credit card statements.
  • Tax compliance administration-collect reseller’s permit.
  • Match POs to vendor invoices.
  • Reviews batches prior to posting.
  • Answers and redirects phone calls in a friendly manner, screening calls when necessary.
  • Welcomes and directs visitors and customers.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintains and manages office supply requests.
  • Liaison for facility related problems for the Shop Manager.
  • Maintaining kitchen supplies and completed daily clean up.
  • Periodically checks on all conference rooms to ensure tidiness and full stock of supplies.
  • Order meals for meetings as requested.
  • Maintains watering of plants outside front door.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:

 

  • Move about the jobsite as needed.
  • Move work related equipment up to 10lbs.
  • Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas accurately so others will understand.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours or days when job/business needs demand.
