Pet Groomer, Experienced

Our Opportunity:

Whisker’s Resort & Pet Spa is seeking experienced Pet Groomers. Professional experience working in a face-paced pet grooming salon is necessary, however we are open to consideration of recent grooming school graduates as well.

What will you do?

• Work with multiple breeds, sizes and temperaments to groom a minimum of 6 - 8 dogs per shift
• Maintain positive client communication and interaction including meeting with clients to discuss desired cut/style and maintenance routines
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Continually develop an understanding of pet grooming techniques
• Understand and ensure compliance with our standards of care to ensure safety and well-being of the pets in our care is always a top priority
• Maintain a sense of ownership in your work, a focus on finding solutions and a strong attention to getting it right the first time
• Be coachable, solution focused and flexible
• Always be dependable and reliable

• Support and relate to your colleagues and management with a “We are all ONE TEAM” attitude

What are we looking for?

• Completion of Pet Grooming School/Training and grooming experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Compassionate animal lover
• Comfortable working with small and large breeds
• Effective communication skills (verbal and listening)
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. to place pets in/out bathing tubs and on/off grooming tables
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to work varying shifts including some weekends.

We offer a competitive commission-based pay, plus tips along with health insurance and paid time off for full-time groomers. Our full-time groomers work a four-day work week allowing you three days off per week.
