Purpose of the Position: The Community Treatment Technician provides support and psychosocial rehabilitation services to consumers, youth or adults, enrolled in a Community Treatment. Services are provided in the home or community and may include side by side support with independent living skills, budgeting, social skills, groups facilitation and medication management. Population served includes individuals with a mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis.

Education, Licenses, Certification, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Driving Requirements:

Valid unrestricted driver's license and appropriate auto insurance coverage as required by North Central Health Care.

Must have the use of a personal vehicle.

  • Preferred Qualifications, Skills, Education, Licenses, Certifications and Requirements:

Associate degree in human services related field or CNA certificate.

Experiences working with individuals with mental health or substance abuse diagnoses.

Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support services to consumers to promote independence and recovery within the community
  • Provide direct psychosocial rehabilitation services as outlined in the consumer’s recovery plan
  • Participate in service planning, to determine consumer goals, needed interventions and progress toward achieving those goals.
  • Develop group curricula and facilitate psychoeducational groups
  • Provides services in adherence to the pillars of Community Treatment program philosophy which include being strength-based, recovery-oriented, person-centered, flexible, trauma informed and consistent with best practice.
  • Completes documentation in compliance with Community Treatment standards, agency policy and applicable
  • Adheres to scheduled work hours with regular and predictable attendance.
