nterim HealthCare’s Augusta Georgia Office is seeking homecare nurses experienced in private duty nursing care to join our team to care for a patient in the Greater Thomson/Washington Georgia area.  

Care to be provided is for a pediatric (teenage) patient with co-occurring chronic conditions including Rett’s Syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). Full-Time, Part-Time schedule hours available.

Patient Care Interventions;

  • G-tube feedings;
  • Seizure management & interventions (precautions, treatment protocols, charting);
  • Respiratory care management;
  • Medication administration;
  • Support/coordination of other treatment elements
  • Other care interventions as ordered  

Current open schedule/shifts/hours with Thomson/Washington Area Patient include both full & part time weekly hours available. *Weekday schedule may include accompanying patient to schedule, providing care throughout the school day.

Requested Shift Coverage;

  • M – F 1p-9p or 2p-10p.
  • Sat & Sun 8a-8p or 9a-9p.  
  • F – Sun 10p-7a or 11p-7a
  • *M – F 6a-1p or 7a-2p

Other patient assignments available. Locations include Augusta, Hephzibah, Appling, Waynesboro, and more. ALL SHIFTS, times and days, AVAILABLE – Weekday, Overnight, Weekends | Day-Shifts, Mid-Shifts, Night-Shifts.

For experienced homecare nurses, working with a current homecare agency, Interim will meet or beat your current rate; have you set your own schedule. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients in line with Physician Orders
  • Delivering care consistent with patient Plans of Care Service Plans
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to appropriate supervisor and/or patient physician
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
  • Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Document care provided in real-time, maintaining accurate patient medical records
  • Provide education and support to patients and their family members on disease process & treatment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to preform under possible emergent situations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED SKILL EXPERIENCE :

  • Pediatrics
  • In-Home Patient Care
  • Feeding Tubes (G-Tubes/GJ-Tubes/NG-Tubes/PEG-Tubes)
  • Trach Care & Management (Trach Suctioning/Cannula Changes/Etc)
  • Home Ventilator Management (LTV Series/Trilogy/Newport HT)
  • Private Duty Nursing
  • Chronic Disease/Condition Management  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Georgia RN or LPN Nursing License (Multi-State Compact License)
  • BLS CPR & First Aid Certification 
  • Recent TB Skin Screen (within last 12 months) or Chest X-Ray (within last 5 years) confirming negative result
  • Experience working with either patients with feeding tube, tracheotomy, or ventilator
  • Ability to pass Local, State & Federal Background Check
  • Authorized to Work in the U.S.
  • Reliable Transportation
