Position Summary

The Specialty Hub Technician reports to the Pharmacy Network Contracting Director and is responsible to provide excellent customer service by phone or email and be the liaison between the PharmPix Specialty HUB and specialized pharmacies in Puerto Rico and USA.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Answer incoming calls and perform outbound calls from pharmacy, providers (medical office) and members, to clarify information, research issues regarding Copay Assistant Program, Medication Dispatch, Delivery Coordination, and other related issues as outlined in policies and procedures.
  2. Document the inquiries in OneArk (Bacman- member profile) and in Manage Engine Services Desk Application.
  3. Responsible for educating providers and members of the process for submitting the prescription, as well as other items as needed.
  4. Serve as liaison for internal departments in PharmPix to analyze, escalate and resolve situations. (Network, Benefits, Client Services and Clinical Department) including delegated entity.
  5. Complete the demographic information of the members for MedPlus Solutions.
  6. Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports for external and internal clients as requested to obtain specifics statistics of the PharmPix Specialty Hub.
  7. Manage reports for new clients onboarding within the Performance Guarantees schedules.
  8. Manage all related service issues in the Specialty pharmacy network.
  9. Manage Duplicate Claims reprocessing (specialty and retail)
  10. Responsible to follow up on any case or issue in a minimum time. The time will depend on the complexity of the drug or medications.
  11. Provide training as requested by external and internal clients regarding any implementation and/or change in the process for any system.
  12. Assist the supervisor or manager in meetings as required.

Minimum Requirement

Demonstrates attention to detail, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, patience, professionalism, and compassion while handling difficult client situations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree, Pharmacy Technician Associate, Technical Degree and/or +4years of experience in case management environment at the specialty pharmacy leve.

Experience

+2 years as pharmacy technician in a specialized pharmacy (preferred), healthcare industry, direct to patient non-profit or Non-Government Organization (NGO).
