Job Summary:

Senseonics is actively recruiting a talented and experienced Software Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience, demonstrating a deep technical focus and effective collaboration with diverse software teams, including Mobile, Cloud, Infrastructure, Algorithm, and Embedded. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating project plans for releases, contributing to programs and products, and managing the entire release process within an Agile/Scrum environment.

The successful candidate will be self-driven, with a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Clinical, Quality, and Regulatory stakeholders, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan and direct all aspects of software projects, including establishing project plans and objectives, managing schedules, resources, and release trains, tracking progress, and providing regular updates to management.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Program Managers, and functional heads to resolve resource allocation issues, conflicts, and priorities, ensuring projects are appropriately staffed and completed on time.
  • Lead/participate in process improvement initiatives related to product development in an agile environment, focusing on CD/CI/CT and other areas impacting cycle time, efficiencies, and compliance in medical device product development.
  • Skillfully manage roadmaps across diverse software using Agile/Scrum best practices while ensuring compliance with medical device regulations.
  • Provide transparent project status reports, ensuring stakeholders are informed at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Actively participate in Scrum activities, embedded within the software team, ensuring backlogs are appropriately prioritized through grooming, sprint planning, review and retrospective sessions.
  • Champion best practices adoption, assisting the team in building and adopting Scrum and release lifecycle best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

  • BS in an Engineering field or relevant experience in Product Development. Medical Device experience is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in the Software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in Mobile Applications (iOS and Android), Cloud, Infrastructure, and DevOps.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and managing projects from inception through post-market sustaining in an environment of continuous development.
  • Self-motivated with interpersonal skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Scrum Master Certified.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Proficient in the use of Project Management Tools such as Smartsheet/MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology, with understanding of relative estimation, Scrum events and artifacts, velocity, and metrics.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD/CT, SaaS preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow to meet established timeframes.
